On November 27 SKE48 released their 13th single ''Sansei Kawaii''. It couldn't catch up to the awesome sales of their previous singles, but it still reached the number 1 spot not only on the weekly Oricon charts, but also on the monthly charts.
I chose this cover because of all the Team KII goodness (+ Nanako T.T).
For this single the senbatsu members travelled to Thailand which is really ool. Speaking of senbatsu, Aya is finally included!!!! And Nishishi is in again, this makes me really happy. There are still a few members that didn't get voted and are still in senbatsu (Anna, Manatsu, Nanako, Nao) but since this is SKE and not AKB, I think it's ok. It's a bit bad for the other voted girls though.. Oh and what's with Ryouha suddendly appearing everywhere??? But let's get to the actual song now.
The title Sansei Kawaii already promises this to be a typical energetic and cute SKE48 song. And like Pareo wa Emerald, Okie Dokie, etc. this song really portrays an energetic image. It's really catchy and even has a few call and response lines that make it really easy to remember this song. Still, I do think it lacks something and I don't find it that memorable. Many people really like this song and even think it's the best 48 group work of the year, but I am disagreeing. I prefer Utsukushii Inazuma over this song and for me it's not the best song of the year. Still, it's SKE and SKE never fully disappoints me. This song is still really enjoyable and a nice way to end this year (though it reminds me more of a sumemr song than a late autumn song).
Well, at least in terms of videos SKE always does something original. Here it is the whole Thailand atmosphere that I will talk about now.

Okay, WOW. This was a really fast video. Seriously, if I had a better quality version (yeah if I had actually bought the single) I would have taken so much more screen shots! The girls are doing so much stuff and it's really interesting to see. The fast moving of the different scenes is a bit confusing but it's so fun to watch this video. The members are enjoying the video and it almost seems as if this is an advertisement for Thailand! xD
Yes, I REALLY like this video. It shows the fun side of SKE48, their awesome energetic smiles and group dynamic. What more to ask? xD
Next we have the song ''Koko de Ippatsu'' by the unit Da~su and Tsu~ma consisting of Suda Akari and Matsumura Kaorin. If you don't like crazy Idol songs you should skip this one. If you are open to them listen now: This is one of the craziest songs ever. Well, come on.. They are both so funny and they are even from the same generation so this has to be crazy! Oh and they both don't really have the best voices so it actually sounds a bit weird. The whole song is just them screaming their lines and getting all hyper. But the chorus is actually pretty catchy. Yep, it's still pretty good and even though they both scream so many things in between it's fun to listen to the song.
The video begins with both of them sitting in the bus. While Kaotan is just starring out if the window, Akarin is listening to music.

So yeah, the video was almost as crazy as the song! Akari and Kaori are such a great team and travel around different places where they perform their shows. They face many difficulties but in the end it's important for them to be together and they can reach everything with the help of friendship! This is such a great message and it's portraied really beautiful. Really a great song & video!
Then nest we have the Slection 8, that is finally back! This time it consists of Ego Yuna, Niidoi Sayaka, Futamura Haruka, Azuma Rion, Ichino Narumi, Iwanagi Tsugumi, Mizuno Honoka and Miyamae Ami. Oops, I only know half of them. Well after this I will know the others too. ;) They are probably the new generation of SKE48 so they are all pretty young and only from 4th or 5th generation. Oh and by the way, they are all the promoted members from the SKE48 shuffle in April!
Their song is called ''Itsunomankia, Yowaimonoijime'' and is a pretty cute song. Now after the crazyness that was Koko ni ippatsu here is our nice and upbeat Idol song. This song is just a really cool song that's so much fun and makes me really happy..

That was a really fun and cute video. Even though the stories of the girls were somehow sad because the boys they liked had other girlfriends, they had fun in the end. The girls were really cute and I can see why they are in this selection!
I especially like Futamura Haruka and Miyamae Ami in this video. Haruka was just so confident and absolutely knew what she was doing. Ami is a great actress and looks absolutely beautiful! I'm happy that I learned to know them through that video. Also, Rion is pretty amazing! I saw a few videos of her before, but this tops everything. She deserves her fast promotion.. Awesome girl. ;) The screen time is pretty equal in this video. I don't even think there is a center in this video sicne everyone has her own moments. Okay, I would say Rion is shown the most but it's still pretty good!
All in all a very good video!!
Next up is Shirogumi's ''Canaria Syndrome''. Typical for Shirogumi this is yet another cute and catchy song although admidetly not as amazing as Itsunomanika, Yowaimonoijime. Well, interestingly Kyouka is the center of this unit and she is flanked by Matsumoto Rina and Saito Makiko. Also, Kobayashi Ami appears so there are quite a lot of the ranked girls from the election. I think it would have been fairer to give the center spot to MatsuRina or Makiko or even Ami since they all ranked higher than Kyoka, but again this is SKE48 and not AKB48. I really like all of these girls so it's fine for me. Of course there are still more girls than these, they are a total of 16 members. There are also a few Kenkyuusei's, most notable Ogino Risa (she is TALL and I like her) so look out for these girls, too.

So this video probably was about their lives as Idols and how they have to change their emotions and locations pretty fast. The girls portraied that really good, especially Kyoka. I really liked the top 4 in this video, especially Makiko. She really shines with her amazing smile! It's a bit sad that not everyone had a solo moment. The top 3 had so much more screen time than the others and that's pretty sad. I wanted to see more Mieko and Risa.. :T Well, but it's still an interesting video and very nice to watch!
Last but definetely not least is Akagumi with the song ''Zakuro no Jitsuwa Yuutsu ga Nantsubu Tsumatte Iru''. This song sets itself apart from all the other songs that have been genki and cute, since it's a very serious song. You know, it has this whole dark feeling I like so much. From deeper vocals to a more electronic instrumental arrangement and a whole depressing melody. I love especially the last line of the chorus that sounds so deep and beautiful (if you can recognize which line I mean..). The line up is also pretty cool. Center is the newly promoted Yamada Mizuho that has a chance to show her skills with that opportunity. Around her are Umemoto Madoka and Kaneko Shiori, so finally everyone from the ranked girls has a song on this single. Then there are Mikitty and Yukko who also have pretty good roles in that song. YUKKO!!! :D Sad she isn't in senbatsu this time but here she has an even more prominent role.
In the video we at first see Mizuho lying in a bad. Seems like she is in hospital and can't wake up anymore.
Oh, the clock also stopped.. so, her life stopped? That's already pretty sad..

Wow, such a beautiful video. The whole story in the beginning is pretty sad, but throughout the video the girls work hard to get the clock to work again and also to make Mizuho to wake up. The ending is really beautiful and I love especially Mizuho's smile there. It's filled with so many emotions and makes a good first impression of her. Yukko absolutely shined in this video (and it' not only because I like her) and everyone was showed with their work.
All in all I think ''Zakuro no Jitsuwa Yuutsu ga Nantsubu Tsumatte Iru'' is my favourite song of this single. ''Itsunomankia, Yowaimonoijime'' and ''Sansei Kawaii'' follow close as they are pretty amazing songs. ''Koko de Ippatsu'' is a really crazy song and even ''Canaria Syndrome'' is a catchy song. There isn't a song that I don't like but in a whole this single is pretty cute and energetic and there aren't that many differences between the songs. Still, it's a really good single and it's a shame that it didn't sell as good as expected from the hype. Well, I guess three Jurina's so short after another takes a lot of money so that the wota's had to decide between these singles.. (Heat Ereki, Sansei Kawaii and Suzukake Nanchara)
