I'm sorry for not posting in a while, but University has started again and I forgot how stressfull it can be. ^^' Anyways, I'm now back to talk about a song: It's NMB48's newest single ''Don't Look Back'' that was released almost a month ago on March 31th.
First of all, as you may know SKE and NMB both released their newest singles on the same day, so it was somehow a competition (even though not an official one). SKE won in terms of Oricon sales, but NMB won in most of the other charts and had some great sales as well. (I will talk about SKE's single in another post)
Since this is Yamada Nana's last single, she has gotten ehr very first center position!!! This is sooo exciting and I'm really happy since she contributed so much to the group as their 3rd most popular member and being a very funny and interesting woman. This also means that it's the second non SayaMilky centered single in a row. Even though I love those two, I'm all for changing center. But they are right next to Nana, so it's awesome to see the top3 together again. :3
Ota Yuuri, Kusaka Konomi and Sutou Ririka are in senbatsu for the first time. Well, Yuuri has been in Ibiza Girl but that wasn't a single. I don't know Konomi but I'm happy for her and especially for the draftie Ririka. :D The rest of the senbatsu is pretty normal.
Don't look back is a cool dance number with a lot of English in the lyrics. The song is pretty up-beat and fast and just really interesting to listen to. The beat is nice and I especially like the catchy chorus of this song. As I already mentioned there is a LOT of English in this song. It was a bit odd at first but I got used to it and it makes this song stand out, which is interesting. This is definetely my favourite NMB48 song since Kamonegix! Which means that it's a great song, especially compared to the somehow lackluster year 2014.
But lets take a look at the video now:
In the beginning we can see Nana. She looks beautiful. And I like how only her lips have colour (red) and the rest is black/ white.
Oh, and her shoes are red, too.

Don't look back!!
So this was actually a pretty standard video and I would even say it was a bit boring. Don't get me wrong, everyone looks so cool and I do like the black&white theme and how the colours came back later. But it's just so simple and nothing really happens. Adding to that everyone looks so serious which should fit the song but it makes the whole video even more boring because there's no variety of their expressions.. Of course, at least some girls like Sayanee or Shuu brought a bit life into the video. And Nana was shining a lot, which is great. Well, the best part is obviously the dance because it's just so epic!!
As you can see I'm a bit meh about the video, especially since the yhave such a great song!!! It's not a bad video, but I'm just not going to watch it a lot..
Still, it's a great single A-side overall and I'm happy Nana got such a great song for her centered last single and that she could shine so much. And with this I wish her all the best for her future.
