Suggoi FEVER! / Wake-up Call ~Mezameru Toki~ / Neverending Shine (Regular Edition C) unboxing

Today I am doing an unboxing of Morning Musume '23's 73rd single Suggoi FEVER! / Wake-up Call ~Mezameru Toki~ / Neverending Shine. This is the Regular C Edition, with the Neverending Shine jacket covers.

This is my last unboxing for this Single. This makes it very real that Fuku-chan has graduated.. Let's look at the special version for her graduation song!

The cover! It would have been nice with more colours as well, but the picture is so sweet and Fuku-chan in de middle.. *cries

The beige CD is nothing special.

And a close-up of all the members photos, they all look so prettyyyy. And this PonPon photo is so amazing!! It really makes me want to buy more of their last goods together.

Lyrics

And my photocard is Chel!!! I haven't gotten her in a while, so it does make me happy to have her card. Of course it would have been perfect to get Fuku-chan but this is totally fine as well.

Fuku-chan's graduation did make me very sad. An era is ending, but I am excited for the new beginning as well. I can't wait to see what Eripon's leadership will look like.

Thank you Fuku-chan, and thank you Morning Musume '23!

See you next year!!

Suggoi FEVER! / Wake-up Call ~Mezameru Toki~ / Neverending Shine (Regular Edition B) unboxing

Today I am doing an unboxing of Morning Musume '23's 73rd single Suggoi FEVER! / Wake-up Call ~Mezameru Toki~ / Neverending Shine. This is the Regular B Edition, with the Wake-up Call ~Mezameru Toki~ jacket covers.

This is the jacket edition of my favourite song from this single and I am very excited about it!

The cover is very typical of Hello Project, but I think it works..

The CD is very simple

The inside. Oh I like this picture a lot more!
Everyone looks so cool.

The lyrics.

And I got Haru-san as my photocard. It's really cool, that I got one of the new members in their debut single!! I don't know her that well, but I am excited to see her growth in the group.

Both Haru-san and Getta have already improved so mich since they joined the group half a year ago. Time really goes by fast..

Suggoi FEVER! / Wake-up Call ~Mezameru Toki~ / Neverending Shine (Regular Edition A) unboxing

Today I am doing an unboxing of Morning Musume '23's 73rd single Suggoi FEVER! / Wake-up Call ~Mezameru Toki~ / Neverending Shine. This is the Regular A Edition, with the Suggoi FEVER! jacket covers.

This is Fukumura Mizuki's last single as a Momusu member and the first for the 17th generation members. I do wish the group released another single in early 2023, but I am happy that we got this amazing single either way.

The hot pink outfits are amazing and a really great tribute to Mizuki!

Even the CD is pink, which is so cool!

The inside

Everyone looks really cool!

Lyrics

And for the photocard I got my current favourite member, Oda Sakura!!!!

Wow, I was actually talking about this is one of her best looks ever. Getting your favourite member is just so great, of course I love all the members though haha.

Here is the tracklist:

1. Suggoi FEVER!
2. Wake-up Call ~Mezameru Toki~
3. Neverending Shine - Morning Musume '23 feat. Fukumura Mizuki
4. Suggoi FEVER! (Instrumental)
5. Wake-up Call ~Mezameru Toki~ (Instrumental)
6. Neverending Shine (Instrumental) - Morning Musume '23 feat. Fukumura Mizuki

Suggoi Fever! has a more retro style and some creepy elements as well. The creepy Suggoi calls a a highlight of the song though. It's a lot of fun, especially on a live stage. I adore Fuku-chan's last bridge, makes me so emotional!!

Wake-up Call ~Mezameru Toki~ is such a Momusu song, it's soooo much fun!! I love all the references to their older songs.

Neverending Shine is basically a Mizuki solo, with the other members only joining for a bit. It is not the nost memorable song, but it is still very lovely. Mizuki sounds amazing and I am glad she got this as a farewell.

All in all this is a great single, definitely one of the best ones from recent years. I am still a big Morning Musume fan and even though I am not as attached to the members anymore, but I really enjoy their music a lot!!

Produce 101 Japan The Girls

Produce 101 Japan The Girls has finally ended and secured the 11 winners who will debut in the new group ME:I.

This show has been going on for a few months now, and I really wanted to talk about it at least a little bit.
The last timeI watched a survival show was Produce48..

From having 101 participants going down to 50, then to 35, then to 20 and then 11.
Of course it is impossible to know everyone who participated, but I think I was able to get a good overview without getting too attached.
But there was one person I was rooting for since she was announced:

Former Angerme member KASAHARA MOMONA!!

We were all so excited to see her and definitely expecting her to be able to get to debut in this group. But more about her later.

To be honest, a lot of my favourites got eliminated after the last elimination that determined the Top 20.
Mainly Mena, Joa, Yui, Nagomi and Hina. Yui was one of the best (and most unique) vocals in the season, and Mena radiated the most Idol energy out of everyone. I do really hope they get to be part of different groups that fit their individual style. They are still some of the youngest participants, so they have a bright future!
And Tsukushi OMG, she will do amazing!!

The Top 20

Let me talk about girls who sadly didn't make it to the final line-up.

The biggest surprises of the whole show were Rio and Rin. While I never really paid attention to Rio, Rin got a great storyline about her hard work.
Kagura is similar in a way, and both her and Haruka showed some of the best improvement throughout the show. I love how clumsy and relatable Haruka was, haha.
Nano and Yuuki had the IT factor... and they are both VISUALS.
Rino and Momoka were experienced all-rounders and would have added to the group in their own way. Out of this finale I'm the most bummed that they didn't make it.. Especially Rino, she was so close at 12! I just started really liking her (and Keiko) after the Baddie performance. I am pretty sure Momoka will find a group that fits her well, maybe even better. I'm still confused how she only got 20th place though..

The Top 11

11. Kato Kokoro

Even if it is the last place, I am so relieved that Kokoro made it into the line-up. Her and Momona's chemistry was amazing throughout the show, so it would have been sad to see them seperated.
As a former Cherry Bullet member, she does have some experience that will be very valuable to the group. She actually seems like a great leader; and she is the oldest. She makes up some of her weaknesses through her cheery personality, and I hope she if going to flourish even more in the group!

10. Ebihara Tsuzumi

Tsuzumi made it!! I am surprised she is quite low, but now I am just happy she made the line-up. She has one of the best vocals of this season and will be an important pillar because of that.
She is the youngest, but I am sure she will be able to grow through being in this group.

9. Ishii Ran

Ran is also lower than expected, especially since she was pushed quite a lot. She also has Idol experience and is very professional. I am happy she made it into the group!

8. Shimizu Keiko

To be honest, I was not the biggest fan of Keiko in the beginning. But seeing her funny personality, and how she is improving made me like her more. Her performance in Baddie definitely made her one of my favourite members at that point!!

7. Iida Shizuku

Our classical princess!
Her story line was definitely one of the more interesting and surprising. I absolutely loved how she challenged herself and went out of her comfort zone of singing classical style.
At first I was surprised how high she got ranked, but it does absolutely make sense and deserved.

6. Sasaki Kokona

I don't really have a lot to say about Kokona. I think she is a great singer, but I am not sure why she got ranked this high.
I definitely do not dislike her though, and I am pretty sure with more practice she will look much more at ease soon.. and she is very young anyways.

5. Yamamoto Suzu

Suzu is similar to Kokona, but I actually see a lot of people hating on her. Why are you hating on a girl who barely turned 17??
Yes, her facial expressions aren't that great yet, but just like Kokona I think she will imrpove immensly!

4. Sakurai Miu

I am so glad that the original center made it!
After participating in Girls Planet999 and almost making it into New Jeans she is finally getting her long deserves debut!
It felt like she got pushed less towards the end of the show, but I am glad we got to see her working with the other girls and delivering great performances.

3. Takami Ayane

My vocal queen!!
Probably my favourite vocal, she shocked everyone in her first song and went on to deliver amazing performances. She seems very shy and still a little unsure on stage, but we already got to see her stage presence improve a lot.
I can't wait to see her as a lead singer in the group.

2. Murakami Rinon

In second place we have Rinon, whose rank improved the most out of everyone (she was 84th in the participant evaluation!!).
I really like her performance on stage, even though she doesn't have a lot of experience.
She is definitely a fan favourite.

1. Kasahara Momona

And Kassa got first place!!!
I am incredibly happy to see her on top of this ranking, she truly deserves it. She is a great performer, a very stable vocal, a great personality (all the participants liked her) and always up for a challenge.
Despite not getting much screentime and kind of bad editing, she managed to show her talents and got the support she needed.
As someone who knows her from her time in ANGERME, this feels really special. I am glad to see former and current H!P members support her!!
I am so glad I watched this show for her and I can't wait to see her in the group.

All in all I feel like this is a pretty well balanced group!
All the members add something unique to it, and I am so excited to see their debut, their songs and their growth!!

Thank you Fukumura Mizuki

On November 29th 2023, Fukumura Mizuki officially graduated from Morning Musume '23 at their Yokohama Arena concert.

After being in the group for almost 13 years, and being the leader for 9 years, this is a big change for the group and for me as a fan.

Even though I knew the group before that, I only really became a big fan in 2012, so for me personally Mizuki has always been a part of my MoMusu fan journey. I am so happy I got to experience them live under her leadership, and to see the growth of the group.
She is a great performer, a wonderful vocalist and she really seems like the nicest person ever. I always felt like we were kind of similar, and she has the closest birthday to me (and the only 1996 girl in Momusu history). Sending her off feels very emotional, but it also makes me excited to see what she wants to do in the future. It feels like a new start for her, for the group and also for me!

Congratulations on your graduation Fuku-chan!!

The concert the day before her graduation.
I really like this dress on her!

I like this dress too, even though it sadly didn't seem as pink during the concert..

With the 9th and 10th Generation members, Zukki is there in spirit.
This is the line-up I grew up with and they are so dear to me!

A final PonPon!

Sakurazaka46 - Start over! (Limited Edition A) unboxing

It is time to do an unboxing of my favourite single of the summer!
Sakurazaka46 released their 6th single Start over! on June 28, 2023.
I was immediately drawn to this song and the music video is so cool.

Solo cover of our Center Fujiyoshi Karin. This looks pretty cool with Shibuya in the background.

Pink explosion

Oh wow, the DVD looks really amazing actually!

Back cover

Obi

Looks a little crazy, but it's still a pretty cool concept

Wow Karin really has some crazy aura

Yuipon going strong!!

This is 2nd Gen Ozono Rei.
She has caught my eye recently!

All of the Senbatsu members, which is actually all the members except for 3rd gen!

And here we have 3rd gen, the newbies.

So pretty!

And I got Murayama Miu as my photocard.
I don't know her at all but I am happy for the new generation.

One of the coolest things is actually this amazing poster!!
I love my 1st gen girlies and especially Habu looks so great.

CD tracklist:

1. Start over! / Senbatsu
2. Seijaku no Boryoku / 3rd Generation
3. Kaze no Oto / 1st Generation
4. Start over! (off vocal ver.)
5. Shijima no Boryoku (off vocal ver.)
6. Kaze no Oto (off vocal ver.)

DVD tracklist:
1. 2nd YEAR ANNIVERSARY ~ Buddies Kanshasai <Part1>
1. Opening
2. 4 Team Battle! Sakurazaka46 2nd YEAR Quiz
3. Mr. TAKAHIRO explains Sakurazaka46 Highlights ~Jouken hansha de nakete kuru~
4. Mr. TAKAHIRO explains Sakurazaka46 Highlights ~Nobody's fault~

As mentioned already, Start over! is such a great song. I can only call it a banger, and the music videi is so stunning. Karin totally devoured that center, but everyone is doing amazing!

I really don't know much about the 3rd generation, but Seijaku no Boryoku is definitely my favourite B-side. The talking is a key point as well, and it adds a somber feeling to the song. Also the lyrics are so sad... "I think silence is a form of violence"

Kaze no Oto is very beautiful. As a big fan of the 1st gen and with Habu's graduation announcement, this song makes me especially emotional.

All in all I am really impressed by this whole single. I also really enjoyed Hinatazaka46's summer song, but Start over! is definitely my favourite.
In general, Sakurazaka46 is my favourite Sakamichi group. I am having a hard time with Nogizaka46, as I am sadly not a big fan of their music recently.

I almost went to see Sakurazaka46 in Paris, but it sadly was a very busy time for me. But in general, I appreciate how they appeal to international fans more and more.
