Suzukake no ki no michi de... what??

So I finally arrived at the title song! ''Suzukake no Ki no michi de ''Kimi no Hohoemi wo yume ni miru'' to itteshimattara bokutachi no kankei wa dou Kawatteshimaunoka, bokunari ni nannichi ka kangaeta ue deno Yaya kihazukashii ketsuron no youna mono'' is AKB48's 34th single. Why the hell did they choose such a long title?????

Aaaaanyways, this is the 2013 Janken single, with Matsui Jurina as the center because she won the Janken Taikai (yeahh!!!! Jurina!!!). Except for her, there is NO ONE from the previous star line up, as there are so many random members. 2nd place is Kamieda Emika from NMB48 Team BII and 3rd place is Hirata Rina who just got promoted in April. Then the rest are also pretty unknown members, including even two AKB48 KKS and one NMB48 KKS!

BUT Tano Yuka finally got a senbatsu place in a single!! Yosh, I am sooo happy about that. :D

But let's learn more about the song, I will talk about the members in the video review.

''Suzukake Nanchara'' is definetely not the dark song we thought Jurina would get. Well, it is more like the typical Janken song a very upbeat one. But it isn't just a bland copy of the other Janken songs, I think it is a lot more melodious and nice to listen too. The members all sound so happy and even Jurina's solo line sounds pretty good! It isn't the most interesting song on the world, but I think the senbatsu did a good job to deliver this song to sound interesting. Honestly, when I first heard it I totally loved it. xP The feeling is a bit weaker now, but I still like it, especially the slower chorus near the end of the song.. :)

So let's get finally to the video now, that actually has yet another short drama.. Yeay xD

This is actually a very beautiful beginning as some of the girls sit in front of a tree. And the words are so meaningful and true.

So it was back in 2003.. Interesting!

Everyone is puttin something in a capsule.. Is that Rie's cellphone?

I don't know what Oya is putting in, but it seems like a letter?

It's cool that they adapted her Janken cosplay here. And she of course looks awesome..

About the five members, I'm actually a bit confused why they chose Rie and Oya instead of Hirari (who placed 3rd for gods sake!!) and Maria.. -.-

But the video continues and it's 10 years later now..

And in that classy suit is none other than Jurina.. (and that's Mosh&Dive in the background o.O)

But she seems to be a busy working lady, since she is telephoning the whole time.. (and get your parted bangs back, girl!!)

But the little kid is happy, so no worries..

So wow, what a nice and simple story. A group of friends meets again after ten years and sings/ dances to their old song (Suzukake Nanchara). Okay so the story is pretty much the same as 10nen Zakura, but I always like stories that are about friendship instead of love. This story teaches us that it's easy to lose contact to your old friends. But it's important to treasure the old memories so that you can maybe meet again in the future! Storiewise this is really great. But individually it isn't. Sure, everyone gets a good portion of screen time, but only the main 5 have an actual story. We don't even know what the rest did the last 10 years until the end.. And what's with Hillary only getting one line??? HUH?? She got 3rd place!!!! Grrr.. And sorry, I can't understand why Rie and Oya are pushed here and nowhere else.
Getting back to Jurina. The video wasn't as much about her as I thought. Of course she had most of the screen time, but not as prominent as in Darkness! This is good even though I like her so much. You know, the other also deserve their little bit of spotlight here. All in all, the random and fresh line-up didn't disappoint me at all. I didn't see a line-up this happy in a long time so yeah, great job!!
