Okada Yukiko - Golden Idol ~unboxing~

Once again I haven't been posting anything, I'm really really sorry.

Lately, I've been totally into old Japanese music, especially the 70s and 80s. Showa Idols have a nice charm and I've been listening to Yamaguchi Momoe, Nakamori Akina, Candies, and co. the whole time.

The first Showa Idol I knew (and one of my favourites) is Okada Yukiko. I started to listen to her songs around 2012 and feel very attached to them. It is really a shame, that she killed herself at the very young age of 18. ._.

Since I love her songs so much, I bought her Golden Idol Best of album. It was released only this year and contains all of her singles and the B-sides. So let's take a look at this CD, which was released almost 30 years after her death:

Here we have the front cover, with the lovely Yukiko on it. The packaging is actually quite big. Not as big as a vinyl package, but bigger than a normal CD one.

Backside features the Tracklist.

The big Obi.

And there's actually something on the inside! Those are the 'Golden Idols' of Pony Canyon it seems.
I still don't know all of them though..

The cover again.

And this is what it looks like in the inside

A very big picture of Yukko. She looks so pretty *-*

And what's that?? You can take out the CD case like a vinyl!!

Tadaaaaa

And here we have the vinyl disc.. errrr the CD

Damn, this is so cool!

I'm in love with this <3

Now it's time for the lyric booklet.

Song list

These are the cover pictures from her very first single 'First Date'. She was only 16 at that time.

Here we have the lyrics of First Date and its B-side Soyokaze wa Peppermint.

Cover pictures from her second single Little Princess.

Little Princess and Koi no Doubles lyrics.

This is from her 3rd single -Dreaming Girl- Koi, Hajimemashite. Here she looks really, really cute :3 And I love this 80s hairstyle she has in her first three singles :D

-Dreaming Girl- Koi, Hajimemashite and Kimagure Teenage Love lyrics.

Pictures of her 4th single Futari dake no Ceremony.

Futari dake no Ceremony and Private Red.

Summer Beach!! Her 5th single is a Summer song, so her clothes a re a bit more revealing.

Summer Beach and Hoshi to Yoru to Koibitotachi lyrics.

With the release of her 6th single Kanashii Yokan (which is one of my favourite songs by her) she cut her hair short.

Lyrics of Kanashii Yokan and Koibitotachi no Calendar.

The seventh single Love Fair. Here she really looks more mature.

Love Fair and Futari no Blue Train lyrics.

Yukko's 8th single Kuchibiru Network, which is the last one released before her death. It is also her most famous single.

Kuchibiru Network and Koi no Etude lyrics.

Her 9th single Hana no Image. This one was released posthumous after he death.

Hana no Image and Himitsu no Symphony lyrics.
