°C-ute Saiko

Probably the last ones in a while: °C-ute is back with their double A-side. Yep, I think with this, the double A-sides will stop (until Sayumi graduates.. wait, Momosu's next single will also be a double A-side?? why?).

The title is ''Kanashiki Amefuri/ Adam to Eve no Dilemma''.

 

 

 

First of: Aren't the covers great? All of the covers are pretty good (especially for H!P standarts). 

Well, anyways.. This is the first single review I write for °C-ute :o

I don't know why... They are such a great group..

Second: They sold freaking 60,592 copies in their first week.. :o Wow, this is so great.. I can't believe it... :o They 'only' are number 4, due to all these other big artists that released singles last week (hell, they almost beat Mayuyu... they did for the first day!!).

They are almost at Momosu level, especially with their Paris concert two weeks ago and Budokan coming soon.. :)

So now, the single HAS to be awesome, right?

Let's talk about ''Kanashiki Amefuri'' first. Kanashiki Amefuri is our typical H!P song that won't be any surprise at first listen. It isn't as sexy as ''Crazy Kanzen Otona'' but it is mature in its own way. I think it kinda shows a new, older °C-ute and even though it's a sad song it's very powerful. This is mostly because of their awesome voices. As of now, they are the best vocal and dance act in H!P, so they luckily aren't stuck in cutesy or awkward concepts. This song isn't their best song, but it also isn't their weakest. It is decent.

What makes it even better, is that UFA finally spend some money on their PV!

Okay, so there has to be rain, because the song is called Sad Rainfall.

The PV Begins pretty good, with an awesome slow motion shot of Maimi..

Followed by Mai Mai. Wow, the shortcut does make her look older (she's still so young..)

Looks like theis is shot at a photoshooting set. I really like how simple this looks.. At it's not as cheap as the boxes they are usually in..
Oh, and the dance looks pretty cool.

Oh, and there are more notable clothe changes. I like the black ones the most, because they look the classiest.. also, Mai looks cool with her outfit.

Wow.. This was a VERY good PV! Beautiful setting, cool dance, good editing and nice rain.
What a great improvement from other videos lately!!!

Next up is the second song ''Adam to Eve no Dilemma''. This song goes more into the ''Crazy Kanzen Otono'' direction, being pretty sexy. It Highlights °C-ute's voices pretty good and shows their great dance Performance. Also, this is a first for not being an Airi (+Maimi) centered song! The dance is mostly centered with Chisato and in total, Chisa and Mai have more lines than Airi (still, Airi is present very much). It's a nice Change and I hope they keep changing the line-up a bit, so that Nakky will also be center somewhere in the future...
Anyways, let's look at the Pv now.

Yeay, so cool. This video is a lot simplier than ''Kanashiki Amefuri'', but it's still great and shows the members from a very good side.

Song wise, I actually like this one more than ''Kanashiki Amefuri''. I don't know, it's just so much more interesting and intense. I actually really like dancing to it.. ;)

All in all, this is a great double A-side and deserves ist high numbers (finally, the double effort gains something in return). I honestly think this is the best double A-side out of the latest Releases. Sorry, as awesome as ''Brainstorming'' is, I can't say the same about ''Kimi sae blah blah'', ''Golden Chinatown'' was boring crap and S/mileage isn't on °C-ute's level yet.

So yeah, I'm really happy now, and I want to have the single!! (when I have money again..)
