Sistar19, the sub group of Sistar concisting of Hyorin and Bora, released their new single ''Gone not around any longer''. It is a typical sexy R&B Sistar song. And I like Sistars songs. This one is a rather slow song, especially in comperison to their song 'Ma boy' that was released in 2011 (wow, so long ago already?). Hyorin has one of the best voices in Korea and it's good to show that and to let her shine in a sub group. But I just think it's mean to make a duo and to just use one person fully in the song. Yes, we CAN hear Bora twice, but we hear sooo much more of Hyorin. As much as I like Hyorins voice, I think they should have let Bora sing/ rap a little bit more. Her rap part really fits the song but the most beautiful part is, when both sing together. Well, Hyorin is singing the part and Bora is rapping it, but their voices blend together so good. They sound amazing together. I also LOVE the 'wohooho' parts. It's so beautiful. *-* Hyorins voice is great. ;)
The lyrics of the song are really sad. It's about a break up. Okay, that's typical but I still think it is written really sad here. The break up is shown in the video, too. There is a boy that appears often in their memories and it shows happy times with him. So he's obviously the ex-boyfriend. Now they're alone and sad -> sad song.
The rest of the video shows the dance. Ooh, the dance. Yes, Hyorin and Boram CAN dance. This time the repeated dance move is them sliding their asses on a bench. Okay... At first I was like: ''Wtf is that?'' But well, it's Sistar, so this isn't something new.They are known for their sexy dances. But here it really fits the slow 'Wohooho' parts. Oh, and they dance on a piano. xP
