Mukuchi na Lion - A tragic love story

Today I will review the B-side ''Mukuchi na Lion'' from Nogizaka46's single ''Natsu no Free & Easy''.

This coupling song is included in the Type B version of the single and is sung by an 8 member unit from the senbatsu. Those members are Ikoma Rina, Inoue Sayuri, Saito Yuri, Hoshino Minami, Wakatsuki Yumi, Hoshi Miona, Sakurai Reika and Nishino Nanase.

''Mukuchi na Lion'' is actually a very beautiful song and follows a similar sheme as Nogi's latest two singles before this one. The whole song and especially the verses sound sad, even though the chorus is a bit more up-beat. I really like this song and it reminds me a bit of an unrequited love in summer.. I also love the voices of these members together and it's nice that there are only 8 of them for a change. Actually, I like this song waaaaay more than the A-side. It's just a better song in my opinion and it's so much better to listen to! :)

Seems like she will transfer..

But Naachan doesn't want to leave her school..

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah no, such a sad story. T^T
And Nogi finally has some real gay in a video (this tops Shakiism!!). But honestly, despite that, the story is so nice.. I mean, it is pretty original (not the transfer thing, but the run away with friends thing). I love how amazing Naachan's memories with her friends are after this.. which makes her probably even more sad at the end. And the kiss. That KISS! Words cannot describe how beautiful it was, the sadness and love that came with it.. Poor Naachan and poor Wakatsuki, this seems to be hard for the two. Though I think they could still hold contact.. I mean, it's not like Naachan will move away thaaat far. But it's part of the story. The other characters aren't that important, except for Reika who seems to be jealous of the two and Ikomachan, who got rejected by a boy (also sad). Man, this is a pretty sad video for all of them.. :'D Still, the footage of them all at the trailer is so beautiful, I hope Naachan will be at least a little bit happier thinking about that.

I would say that this is a very nice music video. It's still Nogizaka styled, so it's a pretty innocent story if we compare it to Kataomoi Finally for example. Those two are just soooo different and though I really love the agressive KataFai, Mukuchi na Lion is a lot more sensetive which definetely fits Nogi more. I mean, Naachan just has this sad look.. It also fits this kind of song more, so it's absolutely PERFECT!! :D

Damn, now I'm thinking about buying this, but I'm actually not the biggest fan of Natsu no Free&Easy. Hard decisions are hard.. :(
