AKB48 topped the charts again, selling over 1 million copies.. They now hold the record of 10 consecutive over 1 million first week sales, 11 consecutive over 1 million sales, 12 total over 1 million sales and it's their 17th consecutive single to top the charts since 'River' in 2009. Uaah, that's much (and that's not even all)..
When I first listened to THIS song though, I didn't even make it until the end.. It was soooo boring!! If just the video would have been good, but NOOOO.. It gets destroyed by these awful green screens. Just a few scenes were alright.
I think the best were probably the cute scenes with Mayu and Jurina (and I'm biased). But it was really cute how Mayuyu supported Jurina as a friend. *-*
I also watched the mini movies released per team.
The Team A and Team K movies were amazing.. I nearly cried. :T Team B was cute but not as amazing as the others. I can't understand why this movie won.. arghhsghskjhksdf
But back to the song. At the end the movies I could really feel some emotion the song wanted to portray.. I listened to the WHOLE thing after that and I have to say, I quite like it now. It sounds beautiful, but also depressing somehow (especially with the sad ending). Okay, it's not as awesome as some of the other sakura singles (it's actually the sakura song I like the least of them..) but it's good. But well, after 'Eien Pressure' and with the first Mayuyu center, it could have been something better... I hope their next single will be SUPER AWESOME! It's voting single, so pleease. xD
Okay, but now on to the good things of the single: the b-sides. (Yeaaay)
RUBY
The best b-side in my opinion, is by far 'Ruby' by Team A.
It's SO awesome. How come that the b-side is so amazing, even better than the actual single???
'Ruby' is an electro pop song with a kinda mysterious sound. Yes, it's a dark song.^^ But it's still classy. Classy in the way the song flows and also the video with its doll like features and the classy black and white clothes.. Here a few screen shots:
That last pic is really beautiful. It shows Mariko as the team captain in the middle and Mayuyu and Takamina, the two main persons, a little bit above her. They really look like dolls. LOL xD
Yuuhi Marie
My favourite Team. This song isn't as great as 'Ruby'. But the video and the whole Team K just makes ist awesome.. And particulary these three persons:

As I said, the song isn't that good. I would say equal to 'So long'. There were better Team K songs before and I like it more when they have more energetic songs. The video is AMAZING though. It shows the girls outside with the nature and they are dressed specially for that. They've got a more natural style that looks awesome. It's really cool.^^

As for Team B and Under Girls, their songs weren't THAT great. I mean, they are cute and all, but I decided to just review A and K.. Well, but I have to say, I like the Under Girls single better (even though Kawei Reina sometimes bores me to death.. but I kinda like Meru in the video)..

Ooh yes, the full lengh version of our beloved Sugar Rush video is included. I LOVE the song. And the video is sooo cute:
